Mābō Dōfu
shoyu: 15~20 circles of the frying pan mirin: ‘1 wooden spoon full’
Ingredients
6 tsp toban-djan
1 tbsp mirin
shōyu
1 tōfu
2 celery
2 carrots
1 red pepper
fince
olive oil
salt
pepper
Directions
Heat frying pan. Olive oil → frying pan.
Fry vegetables. Continuously stir to avoid burning.
Add mince.
Add toban-djan, mirin, shōyu, salt and pepper. Mix.
As required, add water to keep the sauce ‘juicy’ and not sticking to the bottom of the pan (as this leads to burning).
Fry further and add tōfu cubes.
Fry further. Serve with rice.
