お母さん's Naans

Ingredients

  • 200 g plain flour

  • 200 g strong flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 240 ml water at 38°C

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tsp yeast (fast-action dried yeast)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

Directions

  • Mix: flour, salt and baking powder in mixing bowl.

  • Mix well: warm water, yeast, honey in a separate jug.

  • ‘Easy mixing’ (no kneading): mix contents of jug into mixing bowl.

  • Add olive oil and mix into a ball of dough.

  • ‘Gentle cling film’: put over bowl of warm water to prove for half an hour.

  • Chop into 8 naans. Roll and drizzle a little bit of olive oil on top.

  • Bake on the grill (or oven) for 1~2 minutes a side.
